Do not use cracked versions or “pre-activated” AdGuard installers. Many contain:
Stick to the official installer + legitimate trial reset methods if you go this route.
Have you successfully reset your AdGuard trial recently? Share your method below. If you’re stuck, post your OS version and what you’ve tried.
Remember: Developers deserve to be paid for their work. Use trial resets only for testing or short-term needs.
A: No publicly available script currently works for AdGuard v7.19+. The few that do are malware. The MAC-spoofing method works manually but requires reinstalling every 14 days.
How it works: Older guides suggest deleting specific registry keys such as HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\AdGuard or HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\AdGuard.
Veracity: Partially outdated. AdGuard versions 7.x and earlier were vulnerable to registry deletion. However, as of version 7.18+ (late 2024/early 2025), AdGuard stores trial expiration data in two places: the registry and an encrypted .dat file inside %ProgramData%\AdGuard. Deleting only the registry will re-install the trial, but the app silently re-locks after 24 hours when it cross-references the hidden file.
A: No. Android trials are tied to your Google Account ID, not local storage. Resetting is nearly impossible without rooting your phone.
Many "full trial reset" guides miss this: Even after resetting locally, AdGuard phones home. Add these lines to C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts:
0.0.0.0 license.adguard.com
0.0.0.0 mobile.license.adguard.com
0.0.0.0 activate.adguard.com
This prevents the software from verifying that your trial has already been used.
