Another Cinderella Story 4

As of right now, Warner Bros. or any major studio has not officially announced Another Cinderella Story 4.

I know, I know—put down the pitchforks!

However, that doesn’t mean the franchise is dead. The film series was incredibly popular for Warner Premiere (the direct-to-DVD division of Warner Bros.). These movies were low-budget but generated high viewership and soundtracked many teenage years.

The longest gap between films so far was five years (between the 2011 Lucy Hale film and the 2016 Sofia Carson film). We are currently approaching that timeline again, which leaves the door open for a revival. With the current trend of 2000s and 2010s nostalgia, now would actually be the perfect time for a sequel or a reboot.

For the past five years, social media has been littered with false alarms. Here is a timeline of the "ACS 4" rumors:

As of May 2026, Warner Bros. has not greenlit Another Cinderella Story 4.

So, will there be an Another Cinderella Story 4? another cinderella story 4

As of this writing, the answer is no. Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD) is currently focused on major theatrical IP like Superman and The Batman, while their streaming arm prioritizes reality TV and licensed content. The budget for a niche dance musical is currently not on the 2026-2027 slate.

However, in the world of Hollywood reboots, "never" is a dangerous word. If the nostalgia cycle moves from Freaky Friday to the Step Up franchise, we could easily see a revival of the ACS brand in 2027 or 2028.

Until then, fans will have to keep dancing to "Hurricane" by the ACS1 soundtrack and pray that a certain streaming executive remembers how much money these movies made in the DVD bins at Walmart.

Stay tuned. If the glass slipper fits again, we will be the first to tell you.

Fan service is critical. Will Selena Gomez, Lucy Hale, or Sofia Carson show up in Another Cinderella Story 4?

The most logical cameo? Drew Seeley (Joey Parker from the first film). He has appeared in every sequel in some capacity (cameo in film 2, songwriter in film 3). He could easily serve as the mentor figure or choreographer in Another Cinderella Story 4.

If you grew up in the late 2000s and early 2010s, you know the drill: a modern retelling of Cinderella, a dropped MP3 player (or phone, or mask), and a killer dance sequence.

The A Cinderella Story franchise is a staple of the teen movie genre. While the Hilary Duff original will always hold a special place in our hearts, the sequels—Another Cinderella Story (Selena Gomez), A Cinderella Story: Once Upon a Song (Lucy Hale), and A Cinderella Story: If the Shoe Fits (Sofia Carson)—kept the magic alive with catchy music and charming leads.

But it’s been a few years since we’ve had a new installment. The rumor mill is constantly churning, and searches for "Another Cinderella Story 4" are consistently high. So, is a fourth movie actually happening, or are we stuck waiting for a prince who isn't coming?

Let’s look at the glass slipper and see if it fits.
