Before jumping into fixes, identify the root cause. The error generally stems from one of five scenarios:

AnyDesk → Settings → Security → “Use custom port” (e.g., 7071) → Update firewall accordingly.

Windows Defender Firewall:

netsh advfirewall firewall show rule name=all | findstr 7070

If missing, add:

netsh advfirewall firewall add rule name="AnyDesk 7070" dir=in action=allow protocol=TCP localport=7070
taskkill /F /IM AnyDesk.exe
net start AnyDesk  # if installed as service
