Once you have gamemd.exe patched to version 1.001, a world of fixes becomes available to you. You can now safely apply community "renderer" patches that let you: gamemd.exe -patched to version 1.001-

Furthermore, the 1.001 executable is compatible with the CnC-DDraw wrapper. This wrapper translates the old DirectX 6 calls to modern DirectX 11, eliminating the "black terrain" bug on NVIDIA GPUs.
