  • Technical Guidance: Some editions might also provide technical guidance on how to approach Liszt's characteristic techniques, such as finger independence, arpeggios, and chord progressions.

  • Many beginners rush Liszt’s rubato. Practice each piece with a metronome (slowly) before adding expressive freedom. The Consolation No. 1 is excellent for learning 6/8 sway.
