| "Simulation fails with ‘time step too small’" | Circuit deadlock or missing bootstrap cap | Add a bootstrap capacitor (10µF to 100µF) and a fast recovery diode. Reduce simulation max time step to 1ns. |
| "High side gate output always low" | Bootstrapping not working in simulation | In Proteus, you may need to add initial conditions: use IC=0 for the bootstrap cap node or enable startup option in Transient Analysis. | If you have IR2110
