Her most recent work takes a somber turn toward mortality and entropy. Using vacuum bags filled with studio dust, hair, and thread, she creates "dust drawings" on black velvet. These are ephemeral works, destined to disintegrate, challenging the commodification of art. The permanent paintings from this series, however, fix that dust in amber-like layers of epoxy resin, creating a tension between preservation and decay.
