Hour 2: Load a heavy STL file from an old scan. Use the new Reduce Mesh slider. Notice how the viewport doesn't crash. moi3d v5 beta download new
Hour 3: Export a model as FBX with vertex colors (new in v5). Bring it into Unreal Engine 5 or Blender 4.0. Marvel at the crisp edges.
MoI3D has traditionally focused on geometry, leaving texturing to external renderers. V5 changes this by introducing Physically Based Rendering (PBR) materials. Users can now load Substance materials (.sbsar) directly into MoI. This allows for incredibly realistic metal, wood, and plastic textures to be visualized directly in the viewport before export.
