A common mistake is trying to enable AviTab via X‑Plane’s Plugins → AviTab → Show Window. That will open a separate, floating tablet window — but it will not integrate into the aircraft’s 3D panel mount. The aircraft’s own logic (ISCS) blocks the 3D model from connecting to AviTab until you explicitly give permission.
In other words: The aircraft developer has built a “gate”. The ISCS setting is the key.
If you have followed the above steps and the message persists, check the following: please enable avitab in iscs
A final "gotcha" that confuses many users: Even after enabling AviTab in the ISCS, the physical tablet in the 3D cockpit will remain black until you turn on Aircraft Electrical Power.
Start X-Plane and select your problematic aircraft (e.g., TorqueSim BN-2 Islander). Make sure the engines are off or you are on the ground. A common mistake is trying to enable AviTab
Configure the iSCSI initiator and target software according to your specific requirements. This may involve editing configuration files, setting up authentication, and defining storage targets.
Load your Toliss aircraft (e.g., Toliss A319). Once the cockpit is loaded: In other words: The aircraft developer has built
Look back at the 3D cockpit tablet. The red warning message should now be replaced with the standard AviTab interface — usually a welcome screen or a map. You can now click on the tablet to use moving maps, charts, and checklists.
