A file under 50MB is 30x to 60x smaller than the original.
This is not “compression” in the standard sense (like ZIP or RAR). It is content removal, asset downscaling, or emulation of smaller titles.
True 50MB PSP ISOs do not exist for major games. If you see “God of War: Chains of Olympus – 35MB,” it is either: psp highly compressed games under 50mb
Only specific genres or titles can be shrunk this much without breaking:

Originally a freeware PC game, Cave Story is a masterpiece of 2D action-platforming. The PSP homebrew port is incredibly tiny. You get a full story, multiple weapons, and branching endings for less than 10MB.
Only create or distribute compressed versions of games you own or have explicit permission to modify/distribute. Sharing copyrighted games without authorization may violate laws.
