The DLC is delivered as a separate entitlement NSP (title ID: 0100C780114B8001) that links to the base game. Its components:

Warning: This guide is for educational purposes. Modifying your Switch requires a patched unit (pre-Mariko) or a modchip. Online play with modified NSPs risks a console ban.

  • Launch the Game – From your CFW home menu, launch Splatoon 3. The title screen should show Ver. 9.0.0, and the lobby terminal will offer the Side Order entrance.
  • Each update NSP contains:

    | Metric | Value | |--------|-------| | New floor generation time | ~0.4 sec (Switch OLED) | | Palette upgrade memory | 48 MB per run | | Crash rate (post-patch v6.1.2) | 0.03% over 10k runs |

Ironically, each new official patch also patches known entry points for cheats. For homebrew users, this means waiting for a sigpatch update before applying the latest NSP.

To install .NSP files (updates or DLC), your Switch must be modified. Standard retail Switches cannot run these files without modification.
