The F-35 was designed around the principle that if you are seen, you are dead. Its stealth is not a feature; it is the foundation of its existence. The aircraft is an integrated sensor platform designed to vanish into the background noise of the battlespace. Its goal is to "look" into the enemy’s airspace without being "looked at."
